The Sussex Cricket Foundation offers a unique learning and development opportunity for pupils in Brighton and Hove.
Based at our new Learning Centre, recently launched in association with Santander, students will enjoy a mix of classroom based workshops complimented by off site practical sport sessions and activities. The programme will be delivered by professional coaches and qualified teaching staff.
Sessions and activities will include:
Sessions will take place at the 1st Central County Ground in Hove and at a variety of local sport facilities & venues. The course will run over the Spring and Summer terms, and will be delivered over one or two days a week (according to demand) between 10.00am and 3.00pm. The programme will start in the last week of January.
SCF provision is designed for year 10 and year 11 learners who would benefit from provision in a non-school based learning environment.
In order to participate in our programme, we ask that learners can demonstrate the ability to positively participate within the environment of the Cricket Ground and other community sport venues that will be involved within the programme. Suitability should be demonstrated in the referral form and at initial assessment.
The Sussex Cricket Foundation have 12 places available for purchase for the academic 2016/17.
The cost per place purchased is £65 per day. We have a maximum of 12 spaces available as we want to ensure class sizes remain small to enable pupils to benefit from a friendly, safe and supportive learning environment. The programme can be infilled by the purchasing school as required however we do ask that schools commit to full programme purchase.
