Sussex’s very popular ‘Where Cricket Meets’ returns in November with entertainment provided by comedians Jim Tavare and Ian Moore plus music by local musician Hannah Renton. Enjoy a three-course lunch along with Beajolais Nouveau (other wines will be available). All proceeds raised on the day will go to the Sussex Cricket Foundation.
We are working closely with Age UK to arrange a traditional Christmas Lunch starting at 12.30 and finishing around 4pm. It will be a fun filled afternoon with entertainment, queens speech and a few surprises. This event is presented by Warrens Law & Advocacy.

Come along and support 48 teams from Cricket Clubs across Sussex who will be taking part in a day of 6 – a – side cricket competition. Coaching sessions will be held in the morning and ‘Sid the Shark’ will turn up to add his support. The Finals day for the top 8 teams will be held at the 1st Central County Ground, Hove on Sunday 17th September, 2017. The initial events will be held at the following locations from 10am to 6pm: Sunday 28th May 2017 at Henfield Cricket Club; Sunday 11th June 2017 at West Chiltington and Thakeham Cricket Club; Sunday 18th June 2017 at Glynde and Beddingham Cricket Club; Sunday 25th June 2017 at St Peters Cricket Club; Sunday 2nd July 2017 at Heathfield Cricket Club; Sunday 16th July at West Wittering Cricket Club; Sunday 23rd July 2017 at Crawley Eagles Cricket Club. Everyone is welcome. There will be food and refreshments at each event, as well as ‘Sid the Shark’!
Call in on the Sussex Cricket Supporters ‘FUN DAY’ which takes place on Day 3 of the County Championship match between SUSSEX v WORCESTERSHIRE at the 1st Central Country Ground at Hove between 10am – 4pm on Sunday 4th June 2017. ALL are welcome to enjoy good company and ‘fun’ including Shuffleboard, a Quiz, various other games, a raffle, and a wonderful selection of cakes and other activities! This event will take place in the Boundary Rooms on Sunday 4th June 2017.
A softball event will be held at RINGMER Cricket Club (on the Village Green) for ‘under 9’s’ from 10am on Sunday 4th June 2017. Local cricket clubs are fielding teams for a friendly day of fun and cricket, with help from ‘Sid the Shark’ and other attractions including food and refreshments.
Recreational cricket clubs are invited to enter teams of two players to play in an 18 hole, pairs stableford event (both players scores to be added together) at MID SUSSEX GOLF CLUB, followed by a dinner and presentation by Sussex cricketer(s). Ist prize is £500 for the cricket club the players are representing – to be used for further developing youth cricket at their club. Further detail to follow.
