ECB’s TS4 document on Fine Turf – Grass Pitches and Outfields titled Recommended Guidelines for the Construction, Preparation and Maintenance of Cricket Pitches and Outfields at all Levels of the Game.
The guidelines contained in the document are intended as a general guide to all aspects of construction, management, maintenance and pitch preparation of cricket grounds.
It is accepted that with the groundsman’s knowledge of the local conditions, he may find it necessary to vary the recommended treatment to suit a particular site.
The aim is to achieve the best possible playing surface at all levels of the game.
