Sussex Cricket League Update

Strategy for Cricket in Sussex – Review of Recreational League Cricket

Update from Adult Leagues Group Chairman, Gary Stanley

Many thanks for your responses. I can now confirm that we will be proceeding with the new playing structure in 2018, with the Sussex Cricket League proper to commence in 2019. All but 25 of the league clubs in Sussex voted and the final tally was 102 to 12 in favour of 2018, so a very clear steer from you.

Next Steps

The ALG will meet next Monday (23rd) to discuss all of the things that need to be in place for 2018, including a final review of the team placings. Some of you requested an adjustment for one or more of your teams and we will do what we can to accommodate this whilst retaining the overall balance.
Shortly thereafter, you will receive the final structure and a lot of further information, including what you need to do in terms of AGMs, which begin on 6th November.
Kind Regards,

Gary Stanley
